The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Saturday's Best NCAAB Bet

Tennessee Volunteers at UConn Huskies (-7, 141.5)

Think a high-pressure, up-tempo system is going to give the Huskies trouble? Think again. UConn already has beaten Villanova, which plays a similar style, and will be no stranger to the strategy Bruce Pearl will bring to Storrs.

And that’s because UConn coach Jim Calhoun used to see it every year – against Boston College. Before Calhoun took over UConn, he was the head man at Northeastern for 14 years. Each season, the Boston area school faced the Eagles, coached by Tom Davis, Bruce Pearl’s mentor.

"It won't take Jim Calhoun very long to watch us on tape and know exactly what we're trying to do and know how to take it away," Pearl said. "He's a Hall of Fame coach. He will be able to look at us and see our strengths and know our weaknesses."

Pearl also compared UConn’s Kemba Walker to Devan Downey, the graduated star on South Carolina last year. In two games against the Vols last season, Downy notched 41 points, had just four turnovers and went 18-of-20 from the free-throw line. And Walker’s even better.

"Downey is playing in Europe," Pearl said. "Walker is a (NBA) lottery pick."

Pick: UConn

PICK 'N' ROLL

Saturday's Best NBA Bet

Boston Celtics at Washington Wizards (+6, 193)

Sure, the Wizards are 0-20 on the road. But at home at the Verizon Center? Now that’s a different story entirely.

At the Phone Booth, the team is 12-8, posting wins over Utah, Portland and Memphis. Washington also has one-point losses to Miami and Orlando on their own court. Think the sharps don’t know this? The line already has been bet down since it opened at 6.5 points.

Boston will be playing the second of back-to-back games after a matchup with Utah in Boston on Friday. It also will be the team’s third game in four days, something that could take a toll on the veteran-laden lineup, especially with the big minutes being seen by Shaquille O’Neal at center. And the Celtics already have made it clear they don’t worry about style points.

With forward Kendrick Perkins rehabbing his knee injury, Kevin Garnett still a bit limited by a lower body injury, guard Delonte West on the shelf with a broken hand and forward Jermaine O’Neal out indefinitely due to a bum knee, the team has been forced deep into its bench. The results? A 3-6-1 ATS record in its past 10 games. In their past 10 victories, the Celtics are just 4-5-1 ATS.

Saturday's Best NHL Bets

Boston Bruins at Colorado Avalanche (-115, 5.5)

If the Avalanche get any worse injury news, the team will get a M*A*S*H* unit number. The team took another huge hit this week when it was announced center Tomas Fleischmann would miss the rest of the season with two blood clots in his lungs.

In 45 games, he had 31 points on 12 goals and 19 assists, but had notched 21 of those points in 22 games since joining the club and taking the pivot spot on the team’s top line. Now, Colorado coach Joe Sacco must find a replacement for not only Fleischmann, but also Ryan O’Reilly as he tries to light a fire under forward T.J. Galiardi.

O’Reilly, one of the team’s top penalty killers and face-off men, has a shoulder injury and should miss the next two weeks. Galiardi, a natural winger, tried to take his spot in the middle of the third line, but struggled so badly he was demoted. Galiardi was slated to rejoin the team to replace Fleischmann, but it remains uncertain if he will play or draw the dreaded “healthy scratch.”

Meanwhile, Colorado has seen the under go 5-5 in its past 10 games. And the Avalanche simply lose when they can’t score. The team has totalled seven goals in its past five loses, including two shutouts. In its five past wins, the team has tallied 21 times.

Boston will be the better team on Saturday – 6-3-1 in its past 10 – and plays some of the best defense in the league.

Pick: Under

Los Angeles Kings at Phoenix Coyotes (-130, 5)

It really is a barren desert for the Kings when they visit Phoenix.

Los Angeles is a dreadful 7-22-2 in its past 31 trips to Arizona. Overall, the Kings have dropped their three meetings this season with the Coyotes by a combined score of 12-5, including a 2-0 loss in California on Thursday night.

Los Angeles has lost 10 of 12 overall and couldn’t score if they could pick the puck up and throw it into the net. The Kings also have failed to notch a power-play goal in each of their past six games.

"Right now, it seems everything is going the other way for us," Kings forward Anze Kopitar said. "We're going to break through, and we're going to break through with playing 60 minutes and competing hard every time, just playing the way we can."

Phoenix has continued a run of resurgent play by going 7-2-1 in its past 10 games and has netted at least two goals in each of its past seven.

Pick: Phoenix

CTO NBA and CBB:

*L.A. CLIPPERS 109 - Golden State 96 RATING - 10

The Clippers have evolved into an extremely solid, hard-trying, competitive NBA side over the last month. L.A. recovered from a 5-21 SU start and has a 9-4 mark since Dec. 17. That run includes wins over the Lakers, Miami and Chicago, and
the Clippers have a history of beating Golden State at Staples Center, as they are 10-3 SU their last 13 hosting the Warriors, covering 9 of those games. L.A. PG Baron Davis (an ex-Warrior) has regained his shooting touch, scoring 16 ppg while shooting 46.4% in January after languishing well below 40% heading into the new year. F Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon combined for 46 ppg in first three against GS, and both are playing
hard every night.

LOUISVILLE 82 - *Providence 69 RATING - 10

Plummeting Providence (0-6 in Big East) feeling sorry for itself after blowing 17-point lead in demoralizing 79-72 setback at South Florida on Jan. 16. So, must lay small number with fast-paced, straight-shooting L’Ville (81 ppg, 49% FGs), uplifted by amazing 71-70 victory vs. Marquette Jan. 15, when Cards overcame 16-pt. deficit with only 6:01 left. This matchup always takes on special meaning for L’Ville mentor Rick Pitino (took Friars to Final Four in 1986-87), who has won the last 4 in series by 22, 18, 18 and 15 points. Add another convincing victory for Rick vs. defensively-wilting PC (86 ppg last 3).

TROY 80 - *Western Kentucky 73 RATING - 11

Sure, WKU looking to avoid rare series sweep in Sun Belt, but don’t believe sliding 5-11 Hilltoppers (6 straight losses through Jan. 19) can gain split vs. surging Troy squad that has overcome early-season injuries and chemistry problems. Trojans’ multiskilled
soph PG Weathers (UCF transfer; 13 ppg, 7 apg, 5 rpg) and potent-shooting off G V. Taylor (16 ppg, 6 rpg) should have their way (again) vs. depleted (due to injury & defections) WKU backcourt futilely trying to function without a true playmaker. And look for Trojan bench to be a major asset in rematch after outscoring Topper reserves 27-4 in 14-pt. home win Jan. 13.
